NBA free agency is entering full swing. The biggest name to commit on Wednesday was Kyle Lowry, who agreed to a four-year deal with the Toronto Raptors for $48 million. That should set the ceiling for Isaiah Thomas, as the Pizza Guy is considered to be less valuable than Lowry. Whether or not that's fair isn't really in play. Aside from Eric Bledsoe, who many speculate the Phoenix Suns will match any offer for, Isaiah is now the premier point guard on the market.
Other moves on Wednesday included Avery Bradley re-signing with the Celtics for $32 million over 4 years. Many think this was an overpay by the Celtics, but I guess it depends on how you value defense. It does, if nothing else, pretty much eliminate any chance of Boston making a play for Isaiah Thomas that isn't a sign and trade deal.
The Pacers signed CJ Miles, the Magic signed Ben Gordon, and the Spurs re-signed Patty Mills despite some unfortunate injury news. Wish there was an easy place to keep track of all the latest signings? We've got you covered.
In the meantime, we'll keep you updated on any news regarding Isaiah Thomas, or any other Kings news that may happen.
