Kings signed the top D-League prospect, according to NBA D-League showcase page to a 10 day contract. Marc. J. Spears of Yahoo sports reported that several other teams were looking to possibly sign him after scheduling talks with him including LAC, ATL, OKC, IND, but the Kings jumped in quickly to pull the trigger.
It remains to be seen at this time if this is a move to gain an asset to simply use him later in a trade, but it seems the Kings could certainly use the depth especially with the rash of injuries happening now.
