DeMarcus Cousins Suspended for One Game After Forearm to Al Horford

Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

This should come as a surprise to no one, but the NBA has officially suspended DeMarcus Cousins for an elbow / forearm to the head (he didn't really connect, but I digress) of Atlanta Hawks center Al Horford.

From the official NBA Press Release -

— Sacramento Kings forward DeMarcus Cousins has been suspended one game without pay for hitting Atlanta Hawks forward Al Horford in the head with a forearm, it was announced today by Kiki VanDeWeghe, Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.

The incident occurred with 2:00 remaining in the first quarter of the Hawks' 103-97 win over the Kings on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at Philips Arena.

Cousins will serve his suspension tonight when the Kings face the Miami Heat at 7:30 p.m. ET at AmericanAirlines Arena.

As the press release notes, DeMarcus Cousins will miss tonights game against the Miami Heat, and the Kings' chances of winning that game goes down dramatically.
