DeMarcus Cousins injured his lower back late during last Monday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. As a result, he wasn't able to play during the final stretch of the game and missed the following game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Up until earlier today, Cousins had been listed as doubtful to play tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves. CSN's James Ham has heard differently:
DeMarcus Cousins upgraded to questionable. Source tells @CSNAuthentic he could play tonight against Minnesota.

If Cousins can play, that's a big boost to Sacramento's odds of winning the game. Even still, I would hope that the Kings don't rush him back if they don't need to, especially since back injuries can often be lingering problems for many players.
Cousins is still just questionable, which the Kings put as a 50% chance of a player making the game. I'm sure we will know more once the team gets through some early practice and shootaround.
UPDATE:
Well, crap.
It's official, both DeMarcus Cousins and Caron Butler are out tonight against the T-Wolves.
