Carl Landry suspended one game by NBA for leaving bench during altercation

Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

Well looks like Carl Landry is going to go right on back to not playing, but this time it won't be a coach's decision.  The NBA announced today that they have suspended Landry for one game without pay for leaving the bench during an altercation between Derrick Williams and Rudy Gobert in Sunday's game.  You can see video of the incident here.  Williams ended up receiving a technical foul for his role.

On the bright side it appears that Rudy Gay is progressing nicely and could rejoin the team for Tuesday's home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Gay has missed three games after sustaining a concussion in last Monday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies.  Landry had been starting for Gay in his absence.
