Cousins, Gay, Stauskas all out against Utah

Ed Szczepanski-USA TODAY Sports

The Kings will be more than a little shorthanded tonight as it's now been announced that DeMarcus Cousins, Rudy Gay and Nik Stauskas will be out for the game.  They join Darren Collison and Eric Moreland on the inactive list.

Cousins is still nursing a sore right foot, and Rudy Gay is still feeling the aftereffects of last week's concussion.  He was able to play last night and scored 33 points against Minnesota, but he did complain of headaches after the game.  Nik Stauskas was forced to leave yesterday's game early as his back tightened up.  Nik suffered his back injury earlier this week, also against the Jazz.

With so many players out for the Kings, Ben McLemore is the only active player tonight to average double digit points (11.8).  The Kings will need big contributions across the board to have a chance.  Omri Casspi is coming off a career-night, having scored 31 points against the Timberwolves on Tuesday night.

Interestingly enough, despite Cousins, Gay and Collison all having missed significant time, this is the first game of the season in which all three are unavailable.
