Vlade Divac calls DeMarcus Cousins "untradeable"

New, comments
Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

We've heard it from Vivek Ranadivé already but now we're hearing it again from Vlade Divac.  The Kings will not be trading DeMarcus Cousins anytime soon.

Speaking to SiriusXM NBA Radio today before the NBA Draft Lottery, Divac was asked by Justin Termine about George Karl's end of season comment that no player was untradeable.  Naturally, many felt this was a shot across the bow of the S.S. Boogie.

Divac was having none of it however.

The Kings want to win now, and while Cousins is the greatest trade asset they possess, he's also the centerpiece of this team, already one of the best big men in the entire league.  In Sacramento's eyes, it's easier to build around a known quantity like Cousins than to get more unknowns.

The Kings will be aggressive in trying to get better this offseason.  But for better or worse, it will be a team led by DeMarcus Cousins.
