2015 Sactown Royalty Draft Board: Pick No. 12

David Banks-USA TODAY Sports

Frank Kaminsky joins Cameron Payne, Stanley Johnson, Mario Hezonja, Kristaps Porzingis, Justise Winslow, Willie Cauley-Stein, Emmanuel Mudiay, Jahlil Okafor, D'Angelo Russell and Karl-Anthony Towns on the Sactown Royalty Board.

On picking Kaminsky, commenter Sacto_J said:

I've said it before and I'll say it again - Frank is a very underrated player, whether it be his age, his average athleticism, whatever the reason people want to nitpick about Frank the one thing he does consistently is win. And he does it by making the right plays when they need to be made.

He brings a lot to the table actually. Excellent shooter with range, better defensively than he's given credit for, and makes hustle plays like very few big men I've seen.

Interestingly, after comparing Frank's stats to Okafor's stats, I was surprised to find that Kaminsky was slightly better than Okafor this year in ppg, assists, and shooting. Even more surprisingly was that Okafor's stats took a noticeable dip in the tournament, while Kaminsky's turned up, somewhat considerably.

Anyway, the overall point is this; Kaminsky's upside may be relatively low but his floor is already above average. What you see is what you'll get likely for the length of his career. And that's not a bad thing at all.

When a choice comes up, pick who you'd want the Kings to pick given all the players remaining. Note: THIS IS NOT A MOCK DRAFT. This is draft board, a list with the order of prospects you'd like to see the Kings pick. In other words, if we were the Kings front office, when our pick came up, we'd take the top name left on our board. So pick your choice, not who you think Vlade Divac, Pete D'Alessandro or anyone else would choose in a slot.

Explain your choice in the comments, and lobby for who should be added to the next pick's choices.

This poll ends at 11 PM tonight. The next one will be begin tomorrow morning. We will go roughly 20 picks deep.
