2015 Sactown Royalty Draft Board: Pick No. 17

New, comments
Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Sam Dekker joins Kevon Looney, Trey Lyles, Bobby Porter, Myles Turner, Frank Kaminsky, Cameron Payne, Stanley Johnson, Mario Hezonja, Kristaps Porzingis, Justise Winslow, Willie Cauley-Stein, Emmanuel Mudiay, Jahlil Okafor, D'Angelo Russell and Karl-Anthony Towns on the Sactown Royalty Board.

On picking Dekker, commenter Tark Le Shark said:

Here is a guy who excels at the dirty work. He has legit size at the 3 which he uses to take what the defense is giving his team. His deep ball is solid, if a bit streaky. He can put the ball on the floor and attack the rim. He is a respectable rebounder who will never be accused of not giving enough effort. The defense is good, but his foot speed is a question mark.

Remember when we used to speculate that Omri had a much higher ceiling, and could legitimately be our SF of the future (apologies Team Donte)? Well with this pick we could relive those glorious days all over again! Which is not as silly as it sounds. The worst this guy is going to be for your team is a valued bench piece. And, yes, I think significantly more valuable than Omri.

When a choice comes up, pick who you'd want the Kings to pick given all the players remaining. Note: THIS IS NOT A MOCK DRAFT. This is draft board, a list with the order of prospects you'd like to see the Kings pick. In other words, if we were the Kings front office, when our pick came up, we'd take the top name left on our board. So pick your choice, not who you think Vlade Divac, Mike Bratz or anyone else would choose in a slot.

Explain your choice in the comments, and lobby for who should be added to the next pick's choices.

This poll ends at 11 PM tonight. The next one will begin tomorrow morning. We will go roughly 20 picks deep.
