Justise Winslow joins Willie Cauley-Stein, Emmanuel Mudiay, Jahlil Okafor, D'Angelo Russell and Karl-Anthony Towns on the Sactown Royalty Board.
On picking Winslow, commenter dfoster68 said:
The two biggest deficits for the Kings since at least 2007 have been defense and 3 point shooting. With Demarcus' steps forward in the development of his defense, an interior defender is not an absolute need for the Kings. However a shutdown perimeter defender is still needed. Justice Winslow has the potential to be this type of defender early in his career, think Michael Kidd-Gilchrist of the Charlotte Hornets with better offensive skills. He could draw the opponents best perimeter player and hold his own. Offensively, he has decent range, more of a spot up shooter at this point in time and will also provide some floor spacing for Cousins and Rudy. He has a high motor and a high basketball IQ. His fit is not perfect because it would require Rudy to move to the 4 full-time, however with everyone that is left, he has the best chance to make an immediate impact on the Kings.
When a choice comes up, pick who you'd want the Kings to pick given all the players remaining. Note: THIS IS NOT A MOCK DRAFT. This is draft board, a list with the order of prospects you'd like to see the Kings pick. In other words, if we were the Kings front office, when our pick came up, we'd take the top name left on our board. So pick your choice, not who you think Vlade Divac, Pete D'Alessandro or anyone else would choose in a slot.
Explain your choice in the comments, and lobby for who should be added to the next pick's choices.
This poll ends at 11 PM tonight. The next one will be begin tomorrow morning. We will go roughly 20 picks deep.
