Kings pursuing Danny Green

The 3-and-D specialists may be too expensive for the Kings.

As NBA free agency kicks off, there's been some activity and a flurry of new rumors. It seems the Kings are still in hot pursuit of Rajon Rondo, as had been previously reported. As many suspected, the Kings are also reportedly pursuing Danny Green.

Green emerged as a 3-and-D specialist in San Antonio, and would be a huge boost to Sacramento's shooting. That said, I'll be very surprised if anything comes from this. Al-Farouq Aminu just agreed to a 4-year, $30 million deal with the Portland Trail Blazers. Using that as a barometer, Green will probably earn much more than the Kings can currently offer.

With that in mind, I'm also curious to see what kind of contract Rondo will want. We know he's looking for a one-year deal to prove his worth. How much of a discount will he take?
