Cameron Payne joins Stanley Johnson, Mario Hezonja, Kristaps Porzingis, Justise Winslow, Willie Cauley-Stein, Emmanuel Mudiay, Jahlil Okafor, D'Angelo Russell and Karl-Anthony Towns on the Sactown Royalty Board.

On picking Payne, commenter goodnight_punk said:

I'm going with Payne. He has good instincts, and we could use a higher quality back-up PG if Darren goes down again. The more film I watch of him, the more I like him.

Fluid with the ball on offense, above average handle, and most importantly, never seems to force the issue with his shot or passing. Seems to have a knack for knowing when to score and when to pass, and that's been a big issue for us the past few years. A lot of our players seem to get tunnel vision. As in, instead of taking what the defense gives them, they have the mindset of "Well, I was planning on passing/shooting it, so even though I'm wide open/triple teamed, by God, I'm going to pass/shoot it." We could use a non-39 year old Andre Miller (or Boogie, when he feels like it) who can read a defense and adjust on the fly, and he definitely fits that mold.

His release is a little funky, but it's not broken. Still needs to get stronger, but you can say that for half the prospects. It's easy to get convinced this time of year though, and it's not like his level of competition was great. That said, I do like him, and think he has a lot of NBA-ready skills.

When a choice comes up, pick who you'd want the Kings to pick given all the players remaining. Note: THIS IS NOT A MOCK DRAFT. This is draft board, a list with the order of prospects you'd like to see the Kings pick. In other words, if we were the Kings front office, when our pick came up, we'd take the top name left on our board. So pick your choice, not who you think Vlade Divac, Pete D'Alessandro or anyone else would choose in a slot.

Explain your choice in the comments, and lobby for who should be added to the next pick's choices.

This poll ends at 11 PM tonight. The next one will be begin tomorrow morning. We will go roughly 20 picks deep.
