Kentucky and North Carolina played an alumni game over the weekend featuring many NBA players on both sides. The Sacramento Kings were represented by star DeMarcus Cousins and rookie Willie Cauley-Stein. Cousins ended up with a monster stat line, finishing with 33 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists. He even tried his hand at threes and made five of them, including this long range bomb:
Willie Trill didn't put up near those numbers with just 4 points and 9 rebounds, but he had perhaps the highlight of the night after rejecting Harrison Barnes.
That lateral quickness and timing is exactly why the Kings drafted Cauley-Stein with the 6th pick this year. Here's one final video with full highlights from the game. One of my favorites is the nifty alley-oop Cousins throws to his new teammate at the 0:39 mark. Hopefully we'll be seeing highlights like that for many years to come.
