Remember when the Kings signed an elite perimeter defender this summer only to void his contract a few days later?
Luc Mbah a Moute sure remembers, as he and the NBA Player's Association filed a grievance soon after the Kings decided to void his contract. The Kings made the decision after apparently seeing something in Mbah a Moute's shoulder that they didn't like.
Mbah a Moute went on to sign an unguaranteed (now fully guaranteed) contract with the Clippers for less money than he would have received in Sacramento. Mbah a Moute has joined the Clippers starting lineup and has proven to be a useful roleplayer for them this season.
The Kings and Mbah a Moute have now apparently reached a settlement on the filed grievance. From Ben Bolch of the LA Times:
Luc Mbah a Moute said he settled dispute with Kings over failed physical and received financial settlement: "It was wrong, but I moved on."

Luc Mbah a Moute wouldn't say how much he received in Kings settlement but joked: "Enough to get a good burger at In-N-Out."

All things considered, the Kings probably wish they hadn't voided Mbah a Moute's contract, as the veteran would have been a big boost to Sacramento's defense, their biggest weakness this season.
