Wait. Put down the pitchfork. I'm not advocating this, I'm simply asking the question. It's a question worth asking. The Brooklyn Nets placed Andrea Bargnani on waivers. He'll clear waivers Monday night, but up until then teams with an open roster spot can place a claim and assume his existing contract.
The Kings, as you may recall, nearly signed Bargnani this past offseason before the former number one overall pick made a last-second change and took less money to sign with Brooklyn.
The only potential hurdle facing the Kings is that they currently have 15 players on the roster. However, it was rumored months ago that the Kings would seek to move Caron Butler. Although there was apparently no trade market for Butler, a buyout seems like a reasonable solution that both parties might agree to.
Again, I'm not advocating this, I'm just asking the question. At this point, is there anything you'd put past this team?
