Kings vs. Trail Blazers Preview: This Tank thing ain't so bad!

Having won four of the last six games, the Sacramento Kings have seemingly figured out that the tanking life might not necessarily be for them. Even in games where they are missing their main contributors in points, assists and threes, like Saturday night's affair in Denver, the Kings have recently discovered new ways win in scrappy, gritty fashion. Luckily for Sacramento Tank Command Central, The Denver Nuggets are in town for Tuesday night's game in Sacramento. Having thoroughly outplayed Sacramento in its previous three games, the surprisingly great Blazers will now look to sweep the season series, and get the Kings back on the lottery track. Tuesday night's game can be seen at Sleep Train Arena or on CSN-CA, can be heard on KHTK 1140 and begins at 7pm PST. Let's talk Kings basketball.

A Few Reasons to Watch:

-The Young Guns are still playing well. Seth Curry and Willie Cauley-Stein are still, by themselves, worth flipping over to watch. With Willie averaging 13.5 points over the last 6 games and Seth averaging 15 points per game in that same time span, fans are beginning to see an offense that is predicated a bit more on a team concept. With DeMarcus Cousins supposedly sitting out all road games for the rest of the season, the time for Willie to play and continue to get comfortable with the should be, and will be available for the taking.

-It's a home game, so Boogie time is a go! Having not played in a game in April yet this season, fans will be treated to a DeMarcus Cousins with nearly a week's worth of rest on him. Boogie usually plays on a different level when his body gets an extra day or so to relax, but it hasn't been long enough that fans would have to account for rust. Look at DeMarcus to have a big game for the Kings, who have their final three home games all in the last week, including the last game ever in Sleep Train Arena this Saturday night.

-Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum are going to wreck havoc before the night is through. Believe it or not, Damian Lillard has yet to have a good game against the Kings. Averaging only 14 points per game against the Kings in two meetings this season, Damian is due for a blow up, and there's no better time to schedule a big game than against the league's worst three point defense! CJ McCollum, however, seems to fair a lot easier, averaging 23 points a game against the Kings in his breakout season. Portland is within striking distance of the 5th seed, and I'd expect a big game from either, or both of these guys.

Odds and Ends:

-This game is Sleep Train's third to last ever Kings' game. After Tuesday night, Sacramento will face the Timberwolves on Thursday, and then the final game is on Saturday against the Thunder!

Prediction: The Kings will continue to shake the shackles of their season off, and will beat the Blazers: 120-117
