Kings Announce First Pre-Draft Workout

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Sacramento Kings announced their first pre-draft workout earlier this afternoon, and as most 'first workouts' go, the names on this list aren't necessarily what I would consider 'top' picks in this years draft.

Press Release, via Kings.com --

Following is a list of scheduled attendees for Sacramento Kings Pre-Draft workouts, which will take place at Kings Practice Facility leading up to the 2016 NBA Draft on June 23.

May 19, 2016

  • Josh Hagins (PG – 6’1" 180 lbs.) Arkansas Little Rock
  • Gabe York (G – 6’3" 190 lbs.) Arizona
  • Max Hooper (G – 6’6" 201 lbs.) Oakland
  • Mike Bryson (G – 6’4" 201 lbs.) UC Santa Barbara
  • Jordan Loveridge (F – 6’6" 222 lbs.) Utah

List will be updated as attendees are announced.

In addition to the list the Kings released above, they also announce via Twitter that Kansas forward Brannen Greene would be in attendance, so as the press release states, 'the list will be updated as attendees are announced'.

For a little bit of context on the level of prospect the Kings are bringing in this round, none of them fall within Jonathan Givony's (Draft Express) top-60. Brannen Greene is 100th on Chad Ford's top-100, and he is the highest ranked prospect the Kings are reportedly bringing in for the May 19th workout.

With that being said, the Sacramento Kings hold the 59th pick (via San Antonio) in the 2016 NBA Draft, so, all of these names could conceivably be in play at that spot. Also, (and more likely) the Kings need to fill a roster for the Vegas Summer League.
