2016 NBA Draft schedule and TV info

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

It's Draft day, one of my favorite days of the year.  It's like NBA Christmas, where every fan of an NBA team gets to open their gifts and see what new players they get to root for.  It's a fun time, and I look forward to it every year.

The Sacramento Kings have the 8th and 59th picks in this draft, and could be looking to make trades up to and throughout the draft given their many needs.  Draft coverage begins at 4:00 PM Pacific on ESPN, but the actual draft itself won't start till about 4:30.  The Kings first pick, should they remain at 8th, should take place sometime around 5:10 PM, give or take a couple minutes.

Make sure to keep checking Sactown Royalty throughout the day as we'll be keeping you up to date on any rumors or news that may break before the draft.  The draft open thread itself will start at around 4 PM so come on and join us!  Also be sure to check for coverage of other teams and trades that may break throughout the day.

Last year was a lot of fun and we got to add Willie Cauley-Stein to the squad, a pick I and many other fans were hoping to see in a Kings uniform.  Let's see what Vlade and co. do this year with the water a little murkier.

Go Kings!
