With the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio not too far off, Team USA is already working hard on not only rounding out their main team but also on ensuring their future teams have a solid foundation. That future will include Kings center Willie Cauley-Stein, who was today named to Team USA's Select Team, a group of 25 players that will train with Team USA from July 18-21 in Las Vegas. The Select Team will be overseen by Gregg Popovich, who will take over as head coach of Team USA after Mike Krzyzewski retires this year.

This will be an invaluable experience for Cauley-Stein and also a great privilege. He'll be joining fellow teammates DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay in the Team USA system. Both Cousins and Gay played for Team USA in the 2014 FIBA World Cup and remain on the 30 man roster for consideration to be in this year's Olympics. The final 12 man roster will not be set until after the Vegas training camp. The 2016 Summer Olympics begin August 5th, 2016.
