DeMarcus Cousins adds fuel to the “Lonzo Ball is afraid of De’Aaron Fox” fire

New, comments

It seems Boogie still has Sacramento’s back against the Lakers

The following are facts:

• De’Aaron Fox scored 39 points on Lonzo Ball in the Sweet 16.

• Lonzo Ball missed the matchup against De’Aaron Fox in Summer League with a mysterious groin injury.

• Lonzo Ball missed Sunday’s preseason matchup with Fox due to a "mildly sprained ankle".

• Lonzo Ball is afraid of De’Aaron Fox

These are the facts. And now we have further support from former Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins, via our friends at Brew Hoop.

In the screenshot from Instagram, Cousins is seen commenting “Shorty gotta stop running from that action.” While Boogie doesn’t call out Lonzo by name, it seems clear that Cousins sees the facts and knows the truth.

Sure, the Kings keep losing these games to the Lakers even when Lonzo doesn’t play, and sure it makes perfect sense to not push your top rookie for summer league and preseason games when he’s hurt. But that doesn’t change the facts.

DeMarcus always did hate the Lakers. I still love you, Boogie.
