If you’re anything like me, you’re still riding the high from last night’s game. I can’t get enough of seeing the reactions to it. I love the way the team responded to each other. I loved the way Willie Cauley-Stein played, and I loved seeing Justin Jackson finding his groove. We may not win a lot of games this year, but the wins we get sure have been fun. With that in mind, enjoy a roundup of reactions from around the league.
With a flick of his wrist, De’Aaron Fox ushered in a new era for the Sacramento Kings
A glowing review of the Kings from the Washington Post’s Tim Bontemps, who says last night felt like the beginning of something big for the Kings. Includes bonus favorable comparisons to the turmoil in Los Angeles.
Kings rookie De'Aaron Fox hits first NBA game-winner to knock off 76ers
Yahoo’s Dan Devine praises Fox and Willie Cauley-Stein.
Fox 'shows a lot of guts' in win, Temple with the assist
NBC Sports’ James Ham with some good quotes from the team.
“For that guy, at that age, to be able to take that shot after the shooting night he had, even when the play may not have been drawn up that way, that just shows guts,” Garrett Temple said. “A lot of guts, a lot of gall for him to take that shot and make it. Pure.”
And we’ll wrap this up with some choice Twitter reactions:
This Kings win over Philly was a glimpse into the best version of their future. Cauley-Stein refusing to let Embiid dominate on his floor. De'Aaron Fox coming up huge with the game-winner. Justin Jackson scoring 19 pts. Impressive.
