Kings 98, Mavericks 87: Sorry, I fell asleep

New, comments

Ben McLemore had a big night though

The Sacramento Kings outlasted the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday, securing a 98-87 victory. But despite that final score, this game wasn't exactly a bright spot in the development of the young Kings.

There were some positives, to be sure. Ben McLemore had a big second half and finished with 22 points. Buddy Hield and Langston Galloway had 16 and 15, respectively. Georgios Papagiannis had 13, Willie Cauley-Stein had 12 and Skal Labissiere finished with 11. But don't let those numbers fool you, this was a really bad game.

Turnovers galore, poor execution by both teams on both ends of the floor, it was a painful game to watch. This game was so bad that I fell asleep during the late third quarter. Maybe it got better after that? I'm not sure. But this game was not one to look back on fondly.

In the end, the Kings won, potentially hurting their lottery standings, but they did it on the backs of the young guys. Tyreke Evans and Garrett Temple both had really bad games.

Help me out in the comments. How was the fourth quarter?
