The NBA Draft Lottery was held last night, and for the first time in what feels like forever, the ping-pong balls... ponged? in Sacramento’s favor.

The Kings headed into the lottery with the 8th and 10th picks in the 2017 NBA Draft, but due to convoluted and not-worth-the-time-it-would-take-to-explain lottery results, the Kings’ 8th picked turned into the 5th pick, leaving the Kings with the 10th pick and the 5th pick in the draft. Hurray!

The completion of the lottery always leads to a fresh round of mock drafts, so let’s jump right in.

Draft Express has the Kings taking De’Aaron Fox with the 5th pick, and Zach Collins with the 10th pick.

Everyone’s favorite draft expert, Chad Ford, has the Kings taking De’Aaron Fox with the 5th pick, and Zach Collins with the 10th pick.

SB Nation has the Kings taking De’Aaron Fox with the 5th pick, and Hamidou Diallo with the 10th pick.

The Ringer has the Kings taking De’Aaron Fox with the 5th pick, and OG Anunoby with the 10th pick.

Sporting News has the Kings taking De’Aaron Fox with the 5th pick, and Jonathan Isaac with the 10th pick.

CBS (Gary Parrish) has the Kings taking De’Aaron Fox with the 5th pick, and Justin Jackson with the 10th pick.

CBS (Reid Forgrave) has the Kings taking Josh Jackson with the 5th pick, and Jonathan Isaac with the 10th pick.

NBA.COM has the Kings taking De’Aaron Fox with the 5th pick, and Lauri Markkanen with the 10th pick.

USA Today Sports has the Kings taking Jayson Tatum with the 5th pick, and Frank Ntilikina with the 10th pick.

Sports Illustrated has the King taking Malik Monk with the 5th pick, and Justin Patton with the 10th pick.

If I missed any of the big mock drafters, my apologies. It’s allergy season.

De’Aaron Fox is a clear consensus selection for the Kings 5th overall pick, and it’s an easy prediction. The Kings need a point guard, Fox will likely be the best point guard prospect on the board when the Kings select (depending on how you feel about the rest of the PG’s, of course) and the Kings have a rich history of drafting players out of Kentucky.

The 10th pick is a lot less predictable, but we should have a better idea of what the Kings are looking for out of that spot once workout season kicks off, and the rumor mill starts churning.

What do you think the Kings should do with the 5th and 10th selections in the 2017 NBA Draft?
