NBA: NBA Draft Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

I love the NBA Draft. The rumors, the trades, the picks. It’s all so much fun. So naturally I’m out of town for all of it.

This year is even more exciting because for the first time in their history, the Kings have two top-10 selections. The Sacramento Kings have the 5th, 10th and 34th picks in this draft, one that many are calling the deepest in years. Draft coverage begins at 4:00 PM Pacific on ESPN, but the actual draft itself won't start till about 4:30. The Kings first pick, should they remain at 5th, should take place sometime around 4:55 PM, give or take a couple minutes.

Make sure to keep checking Sactown Royalty throughout the day as we'll be keeping you up to date on any rumors or news that may break before the draft. The draft open thread itself will start at around 4 PM so come on and join us! Also be sure to check SBNation.com for coverage of other teams and trades that may break throughout the day.

Last year was one of the more exciting drafts we’ve had, with the Kings starting out with one first round pick and ending up with three. The selections came out of nowhere and didn’t make sense, but after watching them for a season I think we all feel a lot better about it now. Let's see what Vlade, Scott Perry and co. can pull off this year.

Go Kings!
