Easily one of the most anticipated games of the upcoming season is DeMarcus Cousins’ return to Sacramento after his shocking and unexpected trade to the New Orleans Pelicans last February. With NBA schedule release upon us, we now know when that is thanks to a report from Carmichael Dave.

The fact that it’s a nationally televised game is all the better, and likely one of the few the Kings will receive all season. Cousins himself has said that he can’t wait to return, and he’ll almost certainly be extra fired up to go against the Kings, even if the team he’s facing looks almost nothing like the team he left. Cousins spent the first seven years of his career here in Sacramento, did not want to leave, was told he wouldn’t be traded, and was traded anyway. Expect fireworks.

The full NBA schedule has yet to be released but should be very soon. The NBA already announced the Christmas and Opening Day games, and the Kings are not on either of those lists. The NBA season officially starts on Oct. 17th.
