Kings fan takes a page from George Karl’s book

We’ve all been in the situation before where we believed so strongly something won’t happen that we say we’ll do something ridiculous if it does. Well if you put it out on the internet, people are going to make sure you follow through.

One Kings fan who goes by the username ropygenie on the Sacramento Kings subreddit was really sure that Vince Carter wouldn’t sign with the Kings.

Of course, Carter did end up signing with the Kings on a one-year deal and ropygenie’s fellow redditors immediately pounced, starting threads asking which book he should eat. Fortunately for ropygenie’s intestines, he negotiated down from a full book to a single page, and what a page he chose: an autographed page from George Karl’s book, Furious George: My Forty Years Surviving NBA Divas, Clueless GMs, and Poor Shot Selection.

Nice touch wearing the vintage Vince Carter jersey too, although I would have chosen something a bit stronger to wash it down with than a glass of water.
