The Kings Might Be Interested in Zach LaVine

LaVine is a talented player, but his fit is dubious on a team chock-full of guards.

According to K.C. Johnson, a reporter for the Chicago Tribune, the Kings have been linked to Bulls restricted free agent Zach LaVine:

This is the first time LaVine’s name has been mentioned in connection to Sacramento, and while he’s a talented young player, averaging 18.9 points, 3.4 boards, and 3 assists in his third season, while also knocking down 39% of his shots from deep, his fit would be questionable at best. LaVine played 89% of his minutes at shooting guard during the 2017-2018 campaign, the same position as our two best players from last season: Buddy Hield and Bogdan Bogdanovic.

Free agency is a time of wild rumors, and while the Kings are a team in need of a massive infusion of talent, the still-recovering guard would be an odd choice for the Front Office.

We’ll keep you posted as updates emerge over the next few days.
