Welcome back to the Royal Mailbag! Last week, Adrian Wojnarowski ignited some lively debate among Kings fans with his report of trade talks between the Sacramento Kings and the New York Knicks involving Zach Randolph and Enes Kanter. Those rumors have inspired a special entry into the annals of the mailbag - the trade machine edition!
Here’s how it’s going to work:
- I will give my thoughts on every realistic trade idea shared. If you propose a trade for Kevin Durant, I’m not going to bother with it. (And why would we trade for him when he’s coming here in July, anyway?)
- Each commenter gets one trade proposal. Feel free to post additional ideas for feedback from fellow fans, but I’ll only be taking the first trade idea from each person unless specifically indicated.
- The trades have to be legal under the CBA. I’m too lazy to put each idea through the trade machine, so please include a link (you can do this by selected “save trade” on the ESPN Trade Machine) or a screenshot of the completed deal. The transaction must also meet roster requirements, meaning a 15-man team like the Kings cannot trade one player for three.
- If you’re including draft picks in a trade, specify what kind of pick, how many picks, and from what years. RealGM keeps a detailed record of each team’s owned draft picks.
