Can the Kings keep their internal disagreements internal?

There’s a lot to be excited about with the Sacramento Kings this season. The team is on the rise with promising young stars and depth at every position. But last season’s surprisingly good team often wasn’t the sole focus of Kings fans, as internal squabbles became public.

There was infighting between Dave Joerger and the front office, notably assistant GM Brandon Williams. The cloud of conflict hung over the team for the whole season, before the team fired both Williams and Joerger at the end of the year.

In the past there have also been reports of factions within the ownership group, with competing voices wanting their input to be heard.

Ideally this Kings season can be distraction free, at least when it comes to ownership and the front office. It’s usually easier to get everyone on the same page when things are going well, so let’s hope the Kings are winning enough games to silence any internal conflicts.
