We’re less than a month away from the NBA trade deadline, and the rumor mill is kicking into high gear. We already got a taste of drama with this week’s Kyle Kuzma rumor, but that certainly won’t be the last rumor we hear about your sub-.500 Sacramento Kings. The Athletic’s Sam Amick wrote about some big names who could be on the move in the next month (it’s worth reading the whole thing, there’s tons of great tidbits from around the league), and Bogdan Bogdanovic is listed 7th.

Amick writes:

Injuries have sidetracked their season, with Fox, Bagley and Hield sharing the court for just 49 minutes combined over the course of six games. The Kings see Bogdanovic as a key part of their playoff push, and team sources swear they’re comfortable letting his situation spill into this summer. Translation: It will take a lot to land him, but they might be more willing to listen if the postseason seems out of reach early next month.

Amick also adds that Bogi just wants to win, suggesting he could be happy in Sacramento long term if the Kings are winning. This could explain some of the speculation and rumors that Bogi wants out. If he doesn’t see this as a winning situation (and it would be hard to blame him), he could be inclined to look at greener pastures.

On the Dewayne Dedmon front, Amick says the Hawks are interested in bringing Dedmon back but Vlade’s asking price has been too high. This aligns with what we’ve seen reported elsewhere, that the Kings are looking at moving Dedmon but are trying to maximize his value rather than simply trading him for junk. If Dedmon continues to play the way he did against the Suns he could improve his trade value somewhat, making it easier for the Kings to move him for value.
