Imma give y'all my ideal offseason

Kings trade Buddy Hield plus a top 5 protected 2022 1st to the Knicks for Frank Ntlikina, Mitchell Robinson, Alonzo Trier and the 2020 Clippers pick

Knicks get a sniper in Hield to pair with Barrett. Kings get solid value for a close to elite shooter. Robinson is a great backup for Holmes and with Giles likely leaving he should get minutes. Ntlikina will spend all his time in the G league. He will get a fresh start as well as a chance to really develop offensively. Trier will immediately get some time as the backup shooting guard.

In the draft the Kings go ]

Mason Jones at 12

Tyler Bey/Xavier Tillman/Jalen Smith/Paul Reed with the Clippers pick

Malachi Flynn at 35

Grant Riller at 43

Naji Marshall at 53

Matt Mitchell/Tres Tinkle/Isaiah Livers/CJ Elleby/ Mamadi Diakite/Lamine Diane/Malik Fitts/Colby Ross/Jordan Ford

get some of those to fill out the summer league and g league roster.

Waive Yogi, Jabari Parker (he will opt in)

Retain Bazemore, guarantee Kyle Guy and Daquan Jeffries

Fox/COJO/Malachi Flynn/Ntlikina

Bogi/Trier/Riller/Bazemore/Kyle Guy/Justin James

Harrison Barnes/ Bazemore/Mason Jones/Naji Marshall/Daquan Jeffries

Bagley/Bjelica/Tyler Bey

Holmes/Mitch Rob/Len/ Bagley

I am aware that this is too many players. This would be the training camp roster and it would slimmed down accordingly with giving guys the opportunity to develop in the G league. Kyle Guy, Justin James, Jeffries can be included in the Hield trade as well.

But the reason why I love this is what you add to the backcourt to fill the Hield void. Solid three level scoring, playmaking and defense from Flynn, buckets from Riller and Trier. You add some depth to the wings with Mason Jones who will be a Khris Middleton typa player in this league. Naji Marshall is a swiss army knife and Tyler Bey will defend, and be a lob and roll threat with some floor spacing. Mitch Rob is extremely solid as a shot blocker and could replicate Holmes to a degree in the second unit.
