Coming off their most decisive victory of the season, the Sacramento Kings will look to make it three wins in a row on Sunday afternoon, when they’ll square off with the Indiana Pacers.
The Kings made a franchise-record 22 three-pointers in their blowout 140-110 victory over the Charlotte Hornets. Just about everyone that played for the Kings showed out in a major way contributing to the victory.
The Pacers come into the contest at just 3-7, but clearly, they have more talent and ability than their record indicates. Five of their seven losses have been by 4 points or fewer.
The Kings catch a bit of a break in terms of when they are getting the Pacers as they will be without their leading scorer, Malcolm Brogdon, who has been sidelined recently with a non-COVID-19 related illness. The Pacers will also be without wings Jeremy Lamb and T.J. Warren for the game.
A major key for the Kings in this game will be limiting the production of two-time All-Star Domantas Sabonis, who will likely be a major component of the Indiana offense.
It’s unlikely that the Kings are going to go quite as nuclear as they did from a distance again on Sunday, but nonetheless, Sunday’s matchup is one the Kings should take care of if they are truly an improved team this season.
