Marvin Bagley III suffers fractured left hand vs. Hornets

Marvin Bagley III can’t seem to shake the injury bug.

The Sacramento Kings have announced that Marvin Bagley III suffered a fracture of the fourth metacarpal in his left hand during the first half of Monday night’s game against the Charlotte Hornets. Bagley left the game at the end of the first half and did not return. There is no timetable for his return at this time.

Bagley, who the Kings selected with the No. 2 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, has been plagued by injuries throughout his young career. In his rookie season, Bagley missed 20 games due to a knee injury. Then, in his sophomore season, Bagley missed 59 games due to a fractured right thumb and a foot injury, the latter of which kept him sidelined for 29 games.

This season, Bagley has only missed two games, but that will obviously change regardless of which direction he decides to go with his treatment. Bagley has averaged 13.9 points and 7.6 rebounds in 36 starts with the Kings this season.

This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
