Well, it’s settled: the Sacramento Kings won’t be playing in the postseason for the 15th consecutive year after losing to the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday.
The Kings’ chances of sneaking into the play-in at the last second were always slim, but they weren’t zero until they lost to the Grizzlies on Thursday. Now, they’re expected to shift their attention to the offseason; specifically the NBA draft and free agency, the latter of which will force them to make some tough decisions.
Before then, they have two games to evaluate which pieces are worth keeping around long-term. Here’s everything you need to know about Friday’s game.
