Asset Management Step Your GM Game Up!

This is my first post ever and hopefully the ideas make sense . I wanted to share my thoughts and see your comments about a topic that will affect the chances of making the playoffs this year and the following years.

The Facts:

1) Buddy Hield is a good player, but his lack of defense or ability to create offense (dribbling and transition from turnovers) is a net negative. Yes, his value is low, but it may never increase. He is a solid shooter that a playoff team can use.

2) Harrison Barnes is likely the most tradeable asset on the Kings. We may not want to trade him, but this might be the perfect time to do so if we can make a trade that will help long-term.

3) The 9th pick in the draft has its uncertainties, so we may need to use that in a possible trade

Teams with Assets:

  1. Atlanta Hawks

  2. Boston Celtics

  3. Charlotte Hornets

  4. Detroit Pistons

  5. Golden State Warriors

  6. Indiana Pacers (ideal trade partner)

  7. Orlando Magic

  8. Toronto Raptors
