The Sacramento Kings will look to remain undefeated in The Las Vegas Summer League on Friday night as they face off with the Memphis Grizzlies. The Kings are coming off of a blowout victory over the Washington Wizards, which they dominated from the opening tip.
The Grizzlies may very well be the most talented team the Kings face this summer league as they have several NBA players including their first-round picks from the last two seasons, Desmond Bane and Ziare Williams.
Williams had 19 points in the team’s last game, a loss against the Miami Heat, and displayed some flashes as to why he was such an intriguing prospect in the draft coming out of Stanford. While Bane put up 32 points in the Grizzlies Vegas opener against the Brooklyn Nets.
The Grizzlies enter the matchup 1-1, winning against the Nets but falling short in double overtime against the Heat.
For the Kings, it will be interesting to see if they come into the game with an extra sense of energy considering their two-day break between games or if that break makes them a bit rusty.
The Kings have looked pretty solid in all facets of the game in Las Vegas through two games, so let’s see if that continues on Friday night.
